Sublimation is a great way to make personalised presents to sell on eBay. You can personalise everything from mousemats to coasters. It has a low starting fund and almost instant results. Although there are some things to keep in mind.
First what equimpent do you need?
1) A Heat Press: You have a choice to make what will you sell? There are few different presses available: A) Flat press B) Cup Press C) Cap Press I would recommend starting with a flat press. They have the bigest product range. Try to avoid a cheap heat press as these will not provide good results. I learnt the hard way. A swing press is the best for flat sublimation. £250 will get you a great press here on eBay.
2) Sublimation ink and Printer: You have two choices: Catridges or CISS. I would recommend CISS as it is much cheaper in the long term. A Ciss Stands for Continous Ink Supply System. Also know as bulk ink. Only a few printer have sublimation ink available for them. Some are The Epson C64, R1290, D68, D88 and & R1270. There are others available.
3) Sublimation Paper: Available on eBay for about £15 for 100 sheets.
4) Heat Tape: Used to hold the transfer against the sublimate. About £20 for 2 rolls.
5) Corel Draw: Used to scale down and design the images to be sublimated to a sublimate. Can be picked up on eBay for £20.
6) Sublimates: (things that can be sublimated onto)
-Coasters
-Mouse Mats
-Place Mats
-Jigsaws
-Dog Tags
-Metal
-Clocks
-Teddys
-T-shirts
-Womens T-shirts
-Polo Shirts and so much more.
**IT MUST BE MADE SPECIALLY FOR SUBALIMTION TO WORK. YOU CAN NOT JUST BUY ANY T-SHIRT AND SUBLIMATE ONTO IT. IT MIGHT WORK BUT NOT AS WELL** You can buy the coating on eBay to expand you products.
