Beware of fake Olay Total Effects sold here on Ebay. God knows what chemicals are in it and poses a health risk to all consumers.

FAKE OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS DAY CREAM:

Light peach/kinda beigey in color.

Liquidy texture ( like a liquid foundation or lotion )

Oily after application.

Very strong smell ( to me it smells like plastic was mixed into it )

AUTHENTIC OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS DAY CREAM:

Off white color.

Creamy texture ( not liquidy )

Non-greasy.

Mild smell.

I was sold fake olay total effects here recently and one of the dead giveaway was the packaging/box. The fake olays I received did not have the embossed woman's face ( the Olay Logo ) in gold ( on the circle at the very top ) on the box. It should have it. Plus the bottle itself shows how fake it is coz the sticker has been obviously stuck for labelling.

Anyway, it is the contents of the bottle that is important coz packaging can be also copied perfectly, like those fake Olay from Thailand.

So beware, I guess it is better to buy Olay from reputable pharmacies and supermarkets rather than here on Ebay. Here you find sellers selling 3 for the price of one, blah blah and blah, if so you better ask them very well what they are selling and where the heck do they source their Olays.

The seller who sold me the fakes claimed that she bought the Olays from a wholesaler.....I called up Olay  and they said they do not do " wholesaling " just to any one. So beware of those sellers here in ebay who sell 3 for the price of 1 etc.etc. bargain etc....they are probably fakes. Even if they are powersellers, a 100% positive feedback is not a  guarantee they are selling the real thing. Ask questions first to the seller then if you feel they did not explain well, do not buy. Or call Olay ( Procter and Gamble ) for advice.

Again I am only sharing this based on my experience.....

Thanks. Just a concerned consumer.....
